Chelsea are through to the last 16 of the Champions League with Porto winning in the other group game. Carlo Ancelotti will be far from impressed by what he has witnessed tonight though as Chelsea toiled for most of the game. They have done enough though - next up Manchester United.

90 The final whistle goes and Chelsea have somehow escaped with a point - and they could even have won it!

90 GOAL - AGUERO. What a magnificent strike by Aguero to surely rescue a point for Atletico. he curls a magnificent shot into the net leaving Cech with no chance. What an end to the game!

88 GOAL - DROGBA. Chelsea have surely won the game despite a really poor performance. Tha man Drogba has rescued the Blues. He shows super strength to outmuscle his man and although Asenjo saves his first effort, he knocks the rebound into the net.

87 Terry is booked for persistent fouling.

85 Jurado's free-kick is well caught by Cech.

84 Maxi Rodriguez's header is comfortably gathered by Cech.

84 Simao is replaced by Jurado.

82 GOAL - DROGBA. Chelsea draw level against the run of play. Malouda's cross is a good one and Drogba has a simple header into the bottom corner and it's 1-1.

81 Another effort flies wide of goal from Forlan.

80 Good play again by Aguero as he draws a foul from Ashley Cole on the right.

78 Maxi Rodriguez lashes a volley over the bar from the edge of the box.

76 Great chance for Deco to level the game but he volleys wide of goal from 12 yards out. A similar position to where Aguero scored from, but Deco can't get his foot round the ball.

75 Forlan shoots wide of the target from 25 yards out.

74 Chelsea are living dangerously again as Simao's cross flies across goal - any slight touch there and it would surely have been 2-0.

73 Drogba is sent through on goal for his first clear-cut chance of the game but he sends his effort well wide of goal.

72 Atletico make a change now - Maxi Rodriguez is on and Reyes goes off.

70 Kalou and Joe Cole make way for Nicolas Anelka and Deco.

69 Malouda is caught offside and another Chelsea attack comes to an end.

68 Chelsea have been really poor tonight - they need to seriously up their game if they are to secure their qualification to the last 16 tonight,

66 GOAL - AGUERO. Atletico are deservedly in front and it's a superb finish by the substitute. He volleys the ball into the back of the net from 15 yards out and the Vicente Calderon goes wild!

64 Cech makes a decent save low down from Reyes' free-kick.

63 Drogba is back on as Terry pulls down Aguero 25 yards from goal.

61 Cech clatters into Drogba as Chelsea defend a corner and the striker stays down for a few moment. A spell of treatment is required.

60 Drogba shoots high and wide of goal from the edge of the box. It just hasn't happened for the striker tonight.

60 Michael Ballack replaces Essien for Chelsea.

59 Perea delivers his attempted cross straight out of play.

58 Aguero tumbles over in the box but despite shouts from the home fans, no penalty is given. Not too many protests from the Atletico players.

57 Kalou and Drogab are unable to get on the end of Lampard's free-kick into the box.

56 The game has become a pretty scrappy midfield battle with both sides struggling for quality possession.

54 Sinama Pongolle is replaced by Aguero.

53 Kalou has so much time and space on the edge of the box but sends his pass straight out of play. Really poor play.

52 Sergio Aguero is getting ready to come on for Atletico.

50 Drogba goes for goal from the free-kick and his effort is touched onto the post by Asenjo. It wasn't the most powerful strike but it came through a host of bodies.

49 Drogba is tripped on the left side of the box by Pablo and Chelsea have a free-kick in a very dangerous position.

48 Chelsea fail to defend a corner into the box but Cleber Santana can only head over the bar. Far from convincing start to the second half for Chelsea.

46 Chelsea get the second half under way.

Chelsea are now 11/10 to win the game, Atletico are available at 10/3 while the draw is 6/4.

45 Atletico have been the better side in the first half although they have not really created anything clear cut in the final third. Chelsea have been poor by their own high standards and the last 15 minutes of the half in particular will be concerning for Carlo Ancelotti.

45 The half-time whistle goes and it's still goalless in the Vicente Calderon.

45 Reyes blasts high and wide of the post from long range. Poor effort.

44 Excellent effort by Lampard as he lashes just wide of the post frmo 25 yards out. Better from Chelsea.

44 Simao's corner is headed clear by Drogba as the home side continue to pile on the pressure.

42 Kalou is caught offside from Lampard's through ball.

40 Cleber Santana lashes a shot well wide of goal from 30 yards out.

39 Simao plays in Forlan but the Uruguay striker's touch lets him down. Good spell this for Atletico.

37 Reyes tries an ambitious effort from 30 yards out but his shot is well blocked.

36 Reyes is blocked off by Malouda and Atletico have a free-kick on the right flank.

34 Malouda fails to control Essien's pass and Chelsea lose possession in midfield.

33 Paulo Assuncao is booked for a poor aerial challenge on Malouda.

32 Great passing play by Chelsea and Kalou does well to win a header 12 yards out but directs his effort wide. Unlucky.

30 A pretty even first 30 minutes in Madrid. Neither side has really gained control as yet and both will be relatively pleased at the moment.

28 Simao cuts in from the left flank but blasts a shot well wide with his right foot from 20 yards out.

27 Sinama Pongolle is sent through on goal by Forlan but the offside flag is up.

26 Reyes is booked for a poor foul on Ashley Cole after giving the ball away.

25 Drogba is unable to control Lampard's pass forward.

24 Good move by Chelsea but Malouda's pass for Ashley Cole is cut out and Atletico can break.

23 Drogba puts Pablo under pressure and forces the defender to slice a clearance out of play.

22 Kalou looks to get in behind the Atletico defence but Pablo Ibanez defends well against the forward.

20 Great curling effort by Reyes from the edge of the box is tipped wide of the post by Petr Cech in the Chelsea goal. Superb strike out of nothing from the former Arsenal man.

19 Belletti's ball out wide for Kalou is overhit and Atletico have a throw.

18 Joe Cole is fouled on the left flank - free-kick to Chelsea.

16 Reyes is hauled down in midfield by Michael Essien and the Chelsea midfielder is shown the first yellow card of the game.

15 This time it's Juliano Belletti who finds space on the right flank but his cross is a poor one and is comfortably gathered by Sergio Asenjo.

14 Lampard gets into a good position on the right but overhits his cross for Joe Cole.

13 Good run forward by Florent Malouda but his pass for Salomon Kalou is too strong and the Ivorian fouls Antonio Lopez.

12 Chelsea have grown into the game after a bright start by the hosts and are enjoying good possession.

11 Ashley Cole is caught offside from Lampard's through ball.

9 First chance of the match for Chelsea. Drogba latches onto a free ball but slightly off balance, he strikes wide of goal with his left foot.

7 Another decent attack by the hosts but Florent Sinama Pngolle heads wide from 15 yards out under pressure.

5 Forlan strikes inches wide of the post from 25 yards out. Atletico look really good going forward.

4 Half a chance for Atletico but Diego Forlan heads high over the bar. Decent start by the hosts.

3 Free-kick to Atletico on the right flank as Ashley Cole catches Jose Antonio Reyes late.

2 Superb atmosphere in the Vicente Calderon despite the home side's miserable start to the season.

1 Atletico get the game under way.

Let me know your thoughts on tonight's game by mailing me at gareth.friel@bskyb.com. Will Chelsea get the three points that will secure their qualification? Atletico have won just one of their first nine game in La Liga, can they get a morale-boosting victory here?

Chelsea are odds-on at 5/6 to win in Madrid tonight after their 4-0 win at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago. With Sergio Aguero on the bench, Diego Forlan is the 7/1 favourite to net first for the hosts, who are 10/3 to win the game. Didier Drogba is back, he is 9/2 to score first followed by Frank Lampard at 7/1.

Chelsea: Cech, Belletti, Alex, Terry, Ashley Cole, Malouda, Essien, Joe Cole, Lampard, Drogba, Kalou. Subs: Hilario, Ivanovic, Carvalho, Ballack, Deco, Sturridge, Anelka. Referee: Bjorn Kuipers (Holland)

Atletico Madrid: Sergio Asenjo, Perea, Pablo, Juanito, Antonio Lopez, Reyes, Paulo Assuncao, Cleber Santana, Simao, Sinama Pongolle, Forlan. Subs: De Gea, Raul Garcia, Jurado, Aguero, Maxi, Ujfalusi, Dominguez.

Didier Drogba is included in the Chelsea starting line-up for tonight's Champions League match at Atletico Madrid after serving his three-match European suspension. Drogba was handed the ban following his foul-mouthed confrontation with Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo at the end of May's Champions League semi-final exit to Barcelona. The in-form striker, who has scored nine goals in the Barclays Premier League already this season, has now served his punishment and leads Chelsea's attack at the Vicente Calderon Stadium as Carlo Ancelotti's side seek the win that will guarantee them a place in the last 16. Also back for the Blues is full-back Ashley Cole, who missed Saturday's 4-0 win over Bolton due to a knee problem, while his England team-mate Joe Cole also starts. Michael Ballack drops to the bench as one of six changes to the team that started at the weekend. The other newcomers are Alex, Juliano Belletti, Salomon Kalou and Florent Malouda, with the men making way Ricardo Carvalho, Branislav Ivanovic, Paulo Ferreira, Deco and Nicolas Anelka.
